BERGAMO – HALF A DAY TRIP: Città Alta Old Town: historical itinerary (3 hrs. either morning or afternoon) Meeting up with the guide at Colle Aperto Open Hill or at the cable railway station and classic visit of the old town (Cittadella, Corsarola, Piazza Vecchia Old Square, Piazza Duomo Dom Square with Santa Maria Maggiore church and Colleoni chapel , Lavatoi wash-houses, Gombito’s Tower , Rocca Fortress). An aperitif / wine tasting opportunity either in terrace or at a medieval wine cellar can also be arranged.

FULL DAY TRIP: historical itinerary (from 9.00 am to 6 pm) Meeting up with the guide at Colle Aperto Open Hill or at the cable railway station and classic visit of the old town (Cittadella, Corsarola, Piazza Vecchia Old Square, Piazza Duomo Dom Square with Santa Maria Maggiore church and Colleoni chapel, Lavatoi wash-houses , Gombito’s Tower, Rocca Fortress). Spare time for free lunch. Afternoon dedicated to visit the new town: visit of the town centre, Piacentinian centre and Renaissance districts. A typical local lunch can be arranged.

ROMANTIC BERGAMO (3 hrs. either morning or afternoon). Meeting up with the guide at Colle Aperto Open Hill or at the cable railway station and classic visit of the old town (Cittadella, Corsarola, Piazza Vecchia Old Square, Piazza Duomo Dom Square with Santa Maria Maggiore church and Colleoni chapel , Lavatoi wash-houses, Gombito’s Tower , Rocca Fortress) focusing on romantic stories and legends. Breakfast or small aperitif half way through. Candle light dinner in panoramic restaurant.

GOURMET ITINERARY (3 hours) Itinerary based in the old town, aimed at the discovery of local flavours such as: salami, cheeses, wines and desserts from Bergamo.

MUSEUM VISITS (2 or 3 hours) Palazzo della Ragione: Carrara’s paintings. Gamec: visit to the permanent collections and to the temporary expositions. Also additional visits can be arranged such as to the archaeological museum, historical museum, natural science museum, Donizetti museum, sacred art museum, diocesan museum.

THEME ITINERARY - Bergamo in the sixteenth century: the Venetian splendour. Itinerary dedicated to visiting the old town with a close attention to those places related to Lorenzo Lotto and to Veneto domination (this can be combined with the next itinerary)

- Bergamo in the sixteenth century: Lorenzo Lotto. Itinerary dedicated to visiting the new town and those churches hosting the very famous Lorenzo Lotto’s blades (this can be combined with the previous itinerary). – The new town districts. Itinerary dedicated to discovering the new town and its Renaissance districts.

- Bergamo walls. Itinerary within the old town of Bergamo dedicated to discovering Bergamo fortifications.

- Places of faith. Itinerary dedicated to those sacred places in Bergamo.

- Gaetano Donizetti itinerary. Itinerary within the old town dedicated to discovering those places where the great maestro used to live.

FULL DAY: BERGAMO AND PROVINCE A whole day to visit as much as possible of our province and its surroundings. There are several options depending on your interests – Visit of Bergamo Città Alta + Valcalepio (visit in a wine cellar and lunch at a winery with the opportunity to buy wines you tasted)

- Visit of Bergamo Città Alta + Sotto il Monte (lunch in Bergamo or at a farmhouse in Sotto il Monte)

- Visit of Bergamo Città Alta + Lake Iseo (lunch in Bergamo following either a stroll along the lake or a boat trip).

- Visit of Bergamo Città Alta + Villaggio Crespi (lunch in Bergamo or in a farmhouse towards the Villaggio Crespi. During the nice season the Leonardesco itinerary along the river Adda can replace the Crespi visit).
